In games where new characters are consistently released, tier lists are dynamic and reflect the evolving meta. Initially, upon the launch of Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ), Ellen ascended as a leading character due to her formidable attacks. However, with the introduction of various new DPS units, Ellen’s prominence has diminished. This ZZZ tier list will be routinely updated to provide the latest rankings for every character within the game.
Last updated on April 2, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: The release of Zenless Zone Zero version 1.6 adds three new characters possessing an innovative mechanic. Soldier 0 – Anby, Pulchra, and Trigger are experts in Aftershock DMG, collaborating effectively to enhance each other’s capabilities. This trio forms a powerful unit, where Silver Soldier Anby can dominate the battlefield while Pulchra and Trigger inflict significant Aftershock DMG even while off-field. Consequently, this ZZZ tier list will incorporate these characters, analyzing their synergies both individually and within team compositions.
S-Tier Characters
Characters in the S-Tier category of Zenless Zone Zero exhibit exceptional abilities that complement their roles and interact seamlessly with other heroes.
Miyabi
Miyabi stands out as one of the game’s top characters, showcasing rapid Frost attacks and remarkable damage output. While she requires thoughtful strategy to maximize her potential, players who master her gameplay can dominate in battles.
Astra Yao
Astra Yao functions as an exceptional universal Support, enhancing both Anomaly and Attack Agents. Her ability to buff ATK is straightforward, coupled with providing Quick Assist, facilitating seamless gameplay transitions that amplify damage output.
Trigger

Yanagi

While her Area of Effect (AoE) is not as expansive as Miyabi’s, her Silver Star passive ensures she effectively targets multiple foes rapidly.
Jane Doe
As a refined version of Piper in ZZZ, Jane Doe enhances her damage through critical hits on Assault Anomaly, making her a formidable competitor. Despite the slower initial pacing of Anomaly characters, Jane’s potent Assault skills place her among the top ranks, equal to both Zhu Yuan and Ellen.
Burnice
With her unique sub-DPS style, Burnice’s gameplay revolves around building Burn damage efficiently and maintaining it even while off the field, facilitating Disorder triggers. Players can maximize her potential by strategically timing her Basic and EX Special Attacks, allowing her to shine within their team compositions.
Zhu Yuan
Zhu Yuan delivers rapid damage with her Shotshells, proving effective in various team settings. Her optimal partners, as of version 1.1, are Qingyi and Nicole, who bolster her effectiveness during combat through crowd control and damage amplification, respectively.
Caesar
Caesar exemplifies a versatile support character, providing not just defense but also impressive buffs and debuffs. Her capacity to scale with Impact enables her to stun enemies efficiently and offer crowd control, establishing her as a formidable leader in the support category.
Qingyi
As a universal Stunner, Qingyi integrates well into any team composition featuring an Attack Agent. Her fluidic combat style allows rapid Daze buildup through Basic Attacks, providing a significant damage multiplier against stunned enemies without compromising her performance.
Lighter
Lighter shines as a Stun Agent with notable abilities, excelling in combinations with Fire and Ice characters. The synergy with existing powerful units elevates him within the ranks of the Zenless Zone Zero tier list.
Lycaon
Lycaon represents the Ice unit type proficient in applying Stun effects. His gameplay revolves around charging Basic and EX Special Attacks to create significant Daze on enemies, thus enhancing team synergy during battles. His capability to decrease enemy resistance to Ice makes him invaluable in ice-oriented teams.
A-Tier Characters

Pulchra
While Soldier 0 – Anby can function independently without needing Pulchra, the latter’s effectiveness is contingent upon being paired with characters that deal Aftershock DMG, making her a niche choice within Zenless Zone Zero.
However, when combined with Aftershock characters, Pulchra transforms into a formidable Stun force, capable of inflicting substantial Aftershock DMG while minimizing her time on the field.
Ellen
Ellen is an Attack Agent that leverages Ice-elemental damage in ZZZ. Her compatibility with Lycaon and Soukaku is among her standout features, efficiently maximizing her attack power following stunning enemy targets.
Despite an initial surge in popularity, Ellen’s usage has declined owing to the emergence of stronger characters like Miyabi.
Lucy
As a Support unit, Lucy contributes consistent off-field DMG along with providing a noticeable ATK% boost to her team. Her damage potential is amplified when paired with other characters in Zenless Zone Zero, activating her Additional Ability.
Harumasa
Free for a limited time, Harumasa exemplifies an S-Rank character in ZZZ, specializing in Electric-based attacks. His damage potential requires strategic planning, ensuring players optimize his capabilities.
Soukaku
Soukaku operates primarily as a buffer capable of generating Ice anomalies on enemies. When paired with fellow Ice units like Ellen or Lycaon, she amplifies their performance, marking her as a vital contributor in Zenless Zone Zero.
Rina

Piper

Grace
Though the process of building Anomaly may initially seem tedious, Grace excels in rapidly inducing Shock on enemies, effectively triggering considerable damage when combined with other characters, potentially resulting in significant rewards.
Koleda
Koleda stands as a dependable Fire/Stun character, adept at building Daze rapidly. Her pairing with additional Fire characters enhances her effectiveness, particularly as her abilities are complemented by other team members.
Anby
Although Anby is widely recognized for her humorous persona in the storyline, she also proves to be a reliable Stun agent during combat. Her quick, effective combos contribute to her reputation as an integral character, despite facing competition from other Stun units.
Soldier 11
Soldier 11 offers straightforward gameplay in Zenless Zone Zero while maintaining significant damage output. Players can enhance her Basic Attacks with Fire infusion, making her a favorable choice for those seeking simplicity in combat mechanics.
B-Tier Characters

Ben

Nekomata
Nekomata specializes in AoE damage as an Attack unit, yet her reliance on team synergy limits her potential. With the initial game launch seeing an abundance of potent DPS options, her supportive options are still developing, and improvements are anticipated in future updates.
C-Tier Characters
Occupying the C-Tier, these characters currently offer minimal contribution or impact to gameplay.
Corin
Corin operates as a Physical DMG dealer in Zenless Zone Zero, featuring extended slashing attacks against stunned enemies. Nevertheless, her efficacy is undermined by superior alternatives like Nekomata, making her less appealing in competitive play.
Billy
While Billy possesses quick-swap potential and can deliver significant chain attacks, his overall damage output is subpar compared to other distinguished Attack characters. He struggles to remain impactful in diverse team compositions.
Anton
Despite Anton’s unique Core Skill that enables repeated Shock triggers, his DPS falls short compared to his peers. His single-target capacity limits his overall combat efficiency within Zenless Zone Zero, confining him to the lower tiers.
