Assassin’s Creed Shadows is packed with numerous castles scattered throughout its provinces, providing ample opportunities for players to gather experience points (XP) and acquire premium loot. Each castle harbors a key that unlocks outdoor sheds, which contain valuable resources for Hideout enhancements and character upgrades. Among these keys, the Yamazaki Castle Kura Key stands out due to its elusive location, hidden away from the watchful eyes of guards. Below, we’ll guide you on how to locate this key effectively.
Location of Yamazaki Castle
The Yamazaki Castle is situated in the Yamazaki region of the Yamashiro province within Assassin’s Creed Shadows. To reach the castle, players should navigate northward from Takatsuki, following the road that ascends towards the castle’s entrance.
Upon arrival, players must confront and eliminate five Samurai Daisho to unlock the coveted legendary chest. Given the substantial scale of the castle, this number of samurai is to be expected. However, our immediate focus is on locating the Yamazaki Castle Kura Key.
Locating the Yamazaki Castle Kura Key
To find the Yamazaki Castle Kura Key, head to the southernmost section of the castle (as shown in the image above). Search for a red bridge which is patrolled by a Samurai Daisho. You have the option to engage in combat or stealthily bypass him.
On the right side of the bridge, there is a small crawlspace that players can enter. Once inside, look towards the right where you will discover the lifeless body of a peasant, identifiable by the loot marker. Interact with the body to obtain the Yamazaki Castle Kura Key.
With the key secured, players can now access the locked sheds around the castle’s perimeter to transport material crates back to their hideout via scouts. There are two sheds within Yamazaki Castle, so be sure to loot them before concluding your mission. Once done, you can either exit the castle or confront the remaining Samurai Daisho to unlock the legendary chest at the top of the castle, which contains the exclusive Yurei-Walker Hood.
