Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition Guide – Location of Natural Pearls for Marry Me Quest

In Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, sidequests are categorized by difficulty, providing a structured approach as you navigate the game. Initially, players are advised to tackle the “green”quests, gradually escalating to more challenging tasks as they advance through the main storyline.

One particularly demanding sidequest is titled “Marry Me!”. This quest requires you to collect ten Natural Pearls. Keep in mind that these items cannot be located on the map, making their acquisition seem daunting; however, there is an accessible method to obtain them.

Marry Me! Quest

How to Unlock

Job Board in Xenoblade Chronicles X

You can commence the “Marry Me!” quest after finishing Chapter 3. To accept this quest, visit the job board, where you’ll find the following description:

I want to give my love a natural pearl, but they’re so rare, no one in New LA sells them. Please help.

  • Collect 10 Natural Pearls.

Notably, the difficulty level of “Marry Me!”surpasses other quests available at this stage in the game. Therefore, it is highly recommended to postpone this quest until you have completed Chapter 5 and reached Level 21.

While initiating “Marry Me!”may seem straightforward, it will also trigger an Affinity Mission. Be aware that accepting an Affinity Mission will prevent you from taking on any other Affinity Missions or Story Missions until it is completed.

If the “Marry Me!”quest does not appear on the task board, exit the task acceptance menu and re-enter it, refreshing until it appears.

The quest for Natural Pearls cannot be satisfied outside of New LA; instead, you must teleport to the Cathedral located in the Residential District. There, you will encounter a crowd around a character named Hope, who is also a member of your party and classified as a Psycorruptor+.

  1. Engage with the nearby Affinity Mission marker and accept the “Hope Springs Eternal”quest, which will lead you into a cutscene.
  2. During your conversation with Hope, opt to “Confess”that you’ve been struggling to locate 10 Natural Pearls. She will then provide you with a pearl necklace, which suffices in place of the ten pearls needed for the quest.
  3. Agree to assist Hope when the Nopon Lularita seeks help regarding the Drongo Caravan in Cauldros.

Starting the “Hope Springs Eternal”mission will automatically fulfill the requirements of the “Marry Me!”quest.

However, it’s important to note that if you are not yet Level 21 or have not accepted the “Marry Me!”quest, you cannot initiate this Affinity Mission.

To successfully complete “Hope Springs Eternal,”you’ll need to journey north, which involves traveling through Primordia, into Sylvalum, and finally to Cauldros. While it’s possible to tackle “Hope Springs Eternal”at Level 21, be aware that you may not be equipped to handle the enemies encountered along the route unless you are approximately ten levels above the Affinity Mission’s requirements.

Reaching Cauldros can be perilous, so consider these strategic tips:

  • The area between Primordia and Sylvalum is populated by mid-30 level enemies that will attack upon sight, so it’s best to swim around them to reach Seabird’s Beak (located on the southwestern shore of Sylvalum).
  • In Sylvalum, make use of the Nopon Follow Ball to navigate. Check your map and activate FN Sites as you progress. While many enemies aren’t aggressive, the northern region (e.g., the South Silent Sandsea and Anvil Sandplain) is home to more hostile creatures.
  • In Cauldros, activate FN Sites nearby and utilize the Follow Ball to locate the Drongo Caravan. Afterward, you’ll need to defeat five mold caro at the Scholes Battlegrounds.

Be prepared for the possibility of encountering high-level adversaries on your way to Cauldros during the “Hope Springs Eternal”mission. If attacked, you can evade by sprinting (pressing down on the left analog stick) until you create sufficient distance.
