In a significant development for the gaming community, Xbox has confirmed its involvement in Gamescom LATAM, a prominent trade fair dedicated to the gaming industry. This exciting extension of the renowned Gamescom series will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, from April 30 to May 4, 2025.
Before the notable decline of E3 in 2023, Gamescom had already established itself as the world’s largest gaming event. The flagship Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, attracted over 1,400 exhibitors and welcomed more than 335,000 attendees. Its expansive accessibility to the public has propelled its growth, outpacing other trade shows like the Tokyo Game Show and even E3 during its peak years.
Gamescom’s organizer, Koelnmesse, remains committed to expanding the Gamescom brand, introducing new events like Gamescom LATAM. This year, Xbox joins other major gaming entities at the event, setting up a booth featuring playable games from the ID@Xbox initiative. This initiative emphasizes the promotion of independent developers who are publishing their titles on Xbox. The booth will proudly present 13 indie games and host a “Discovery Day,” focused on helping developers explore opportunities in gaming on Xbox and PC platforms.
