Enhancements to Racial Abilities

One of the most notable updates in this patch is the enhancement of nearly a dozen racial abilities, particularly aimed at boosting the strengths of underperforming Allied Races. Noteworthy changes include:

  • Humans, Kul Tirans, and Worgen: New pointed ear customization options inspired by the Arathi of Hallowfall.
  • Draenei: The cooldown for Gift of the Naaru is shortened to two minutes (previously three).
  • Highmountain Tauren: Rugged Tenacity’s effectiveness will increase by 50%.

Quality-of-Life Improvements

Several quality-of-life enhancements will streamline gameplay. Players can now enjoy cross-faction group collaborations for dungeons, although full groups are required. Additionally, the currency needed to acquire Harbinger Crests for gear upgrades will be reduced, making it simpler for players to gear up as Season 1 concludes. Information on Mythic+ automatic rewards scaling and lower penalties for failed keys will also be introduced.

Furthermore, transmogs from previously completed quests will unlock automatically upon logging in for the first time with that character.

Diving Into New Storylines

This patch also brings significant storylines, including the chapter Lingering Shadows, which invites players to reconnect with a familiar character as they traverse the narrative bridge leading to Patch 11.1, Undermined. Players will also learn about the aftermath for the Kirin Tor following Dalaran’s destruction, aiding survivors in rebuilding their community.
