“Why Does the Company Seem So Obvious?”— Fans Outraged at HYBE for Different Concept Photo of BTS’ Taehyung in ‘7 Moments’ Preview Poster

BTS Fans React to Preview of BTS 7 Moments Featuring Taehyung

On March 18, 2025, the fandom of BTS’s V, known as Taehyung, erupted on social media following the unveiling of the preview poster for the upcoming collection, BTS 7 Moments. This exclusive album promises an intimate look into behind-the-scenes footage from the members’ solo endeavors. The promotional material showcased images associated with members’ solo projects, including RM’s Still Life, Jin’s The Astronaut, Suga’s Amygdala, j-hope’s Jack in the Box, Jimin’s Set Me Free Pt.2, and Jungkook’s GOLDEN.

Nevertheless, fans quickly pointed out a discrepancy regarding Taehyung’s contribution; his image was not a new behind-the-scenes photo from his solo debut album, Layover, but instead featured a previously released clip from a band session of Love Me Again, available on BTS’s official YouTube channel.

This revelation led to considerable frustration within the fanbase, prompting many to question BIGHIT MUSIC’s choice to omit official concept images from Layover.

“Layover concept photos or MV behind aren’t added in BTS 7 Moments and we didn’t get a documentary, why is the company so obvious?”an user expressed on X.

Some fans speculated that the omission might be rooted in HYBE’s ongoing legal issues related to Min Hee-jin, who played a pivotal role in producing V’s solo album. This speculation led to calls for equal acknowledgment and representation of Taehyung’s work.

“Need layover pics of tae, layover album pics not the band session or the meeting performances. Do better @bts_bighit,”a fan urged.

“Layover is TAEHYUNG’S WORK; his debut album for which he worked tirelessly. Just because y’all are having beef with MHJ doesn’t mean you can ignore its existence,”another fan commented.

“I’m pretty sure the beef is because MHJ was part of Layover,”a netizen noted, hinting at the internal tensions.

“WTF where are the concept photos of Layover? You are so childish to the point of ignoring Taehyung’s work (that even you still profit from) just for personal grievances! RESPECT TAEHYUNG, RESPECT LAYOVER,”another stressed.

Criticism continued, with many fans observing that while the projects of other members were adequately represented, Layover seemed to suffer a deliberate lack of inclusion.

“Layover era is clearly being boycotted by Taehyung’s own company. There are no pictures or videos from that era. This shows a lack of respect for Taehyung’s efforts in his first album,”argued a fan.

“No picture from Layover MV or concept,”another commented, voicing disappointment.

“We demand to see behind-the-scenes footage from creating Layover, including a documentary. Just like all the other members received,”another wrote passionately.
