Why Ariela and Biniyam Seem to Make No Real Progress on 90 Day: The Last Resort

Recap of 90 Day: The Last Resort Season 2 Tell-All Part 4

The much-anticipated Tell-All Part 4 for 90 Day: The Last Resort aired on April 21, 2025, drawing attention to couples interacting in a resort-style setting. A key focus of the season was Ariela Weinberg and Biniyam Shibre, who were joined by fellow couples including Jasmine and Gino, Stacey and Florian, Natalie and Josh, Brandon and Julia, as well as Rob and Sophie.

Throughout this season, participants were assisted by therapists who helped facilitate discussions aimed at addressing their underlying relationship challenges. Despite this support, it became evident during the Tell-All that Ariela and Biniyam had not achieved significant growth in resolving their issues.

Ariela and Biniyam: External Conflicts Overshadow Internal Healing

Central to Ariela and Biniyam’s storyline this season was a dispute over social media control. Ariela had previously limited Biniyam’s access to his online accounts, citing her concerns about opportunists potentially exploiting him. During the Tell-All’s preceding Part 3, which aired on April 14, 2025, she remarked:

“Bini, can we both admit that part of the reason I changed that password is to protect you?”

Ariela’s mother, Janice, reinforced this position by mentioning a past extortion attempt directed at Biniyam. While this context might clarify Ariela’s rationale, it did little to bridge the emotional gap between the couple, as Biniyam appeared reluctant to fully agree with either Ariela or her mother.

Although some cast members voiced their understanding of Ariela’s actions after learning about the extortion attempts, it failed to change the underlying dynamics between Ari and Biniyam. Ariela stated:

“It’s almost every single woman that Bini’s been involved with didn’t have good intentions.”

However, the focus remained predominantly on external factors, shifting blame rather than fostering introspection regarding their relationship issues. Their dialogue seemed like an effort to justify past decisions rather than a step toward rebuilding trust and improving communication.

Public Disputes Highlight Unresolved Tensions

During the Tell-All, another notable incident occurred when Ariela confronted the cast, criticizing them for not holding Biniyam sufficiently accountable. Following Rob’s confrontation with Sophie, Ariela articulated her frustration, stating that the group overlooked her struggles. Rob responded with:

“I could see that, I could see how she might feel like she might be the only one who could stop something like that from happening.”

Despite these acknowledgments, no real resolution came out of the conflicts between Ariela and Biniyam. The episode illustrated that lingering resentment continues to define their interactions. Ariela expressed her belief that the cast only began to empathize with her perspective after her mother’s involvement.

While Florian admitted to gaining a clearer understanding of the situation following Janice’s revelations, the emotional disconnect between Ari and Biniyam remained stark. This Tell-All episode vividly demonstrated that they are mired in cycles of mistrust and defensiveness, contrasting sharply with other couples who showcased tangible progress in therapy.

It seems that Ariela and Biniyam have yet to break free from cyclical patterns, indicating that their time on 90 Day: The Last Resort hasn’t yielded the transformative changes they were seeking.
