Epic Games continues to find new weaponry to add to Fortnite, with suppressed weapons just one of the viable options at players’ disposal. However, they can be a pain to find especially when challenges are involved.
Conveniently, a new mod system arrived in Chapter 5 Season 1, letting players add attachments to their weapons. Silencers are one of those options, provided you have the currency.
So, if you need assistance finding suppressed weapons, here’s the best way to get one easily in Fortnite Chapter 5.
Where to find Suppressed Weapons in Fortnite
To find suppressed weapons in Fortnite, you will find them as ground loot, as well as inside chests & supply drones, dropped by players. However, the easiest way is to head to a Mod Bench and add the Suppressor attachment to your gun.
Here are all the weapons that you can find suppressed or can add a Suppressor attachment to in Fortnite:
- Striker AR
- Enforcer AR
- Nemesis AR
- Frenzy Auto Shotgun
- Hammer Pump Shotgun
- Hyper SMG
- Ranger Pistol
- Reaper Sniper Rifle

The easiest way to get a suppressed weapon is to land straight at a location that has a Mod Bench nearby. All locations are shown on the island map above. We suggest landing at one of the farther Mod Benches so you can avoid players.
Then loot the surrounding areas until you obtain a gun from Ground Loot or a Chest. Defeat all the surrounding NPC enemies/bosses to give you access to the vault, where a Mod Bench can be found.
Interact with the Mod Bench and spend a few Gold Bars on the Suppressor attachment found in the Barrel section to attach it to your gun. If you do happen to find a suppressed gun along the way you will not need the bench.
