Where to find and catch Grintale in Palworld

Between maintaining their bases, harvesting, leveling up, fighting, and training Pals, players have their hands full in Palworld.

Furthermore, the ones that are on a mission to complete the game’s Paldeck will have to go the extra mile and spend their nights walking around to find the elusive Grintale.

This rare cat Pal only appears in Palworld during nighttime, so grab a torch and check out its exact location.

How to find Grintale in Palworld

Grintale commonly spawns in three areas: Devout’s Mineshaft, around the Frostbound Mountains (not the icy parts), and Verdant Brook.

This gigantic cat with a marshmallow-like body and scary grin can only be seen in Palworld during nighttime, along with a bunch of other nocturnal creatures like Depresso, Tombat, Helzephyr, and more.

Luckily for diurnal players, there’s one Alpha version of Grintale available in the game on the north side of Marsh Island, so you can catch it whenever you feel like having a good fight.

How to catch Grintale: battle tips

Going after either Grintale’s wild spawn or Alpha version will be hard, as both have semi-high levels. To raise Grintale’s catch rate, you’ll have to lower its health before throwing your Pal Sphere, and as a Neutral-type Pal, you can easily deal damage with a pure Dark-type.

With Alpha encounters being tougher than regular ones, the semi-low level 17 kitty cat will hit you hard, though the good thing is it fights alone, unlike other Alphas (Penking) who have plenty of minions around.

In the case of the wild spawn, you can expect a decent combat, as most of the Grintales available are between levels 25 and 27, if not higher.

Also, bring along plenty of Hyper or Ultra Spheres, as well as top-notch weapons to help your Pal lower its HP faster.

This enormous cat who looks like it belongs in Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is not really helpful in bases as its only Work Suitability is Gathering.

Otherwise, it has proven to be a decent fighter, though it mostly shines thanks to its Partner Skill called Plump Body, which allows players to ride it around Palpagos Island while also enhancing Neutral attacks.
