Direhowl is a Neutral element Pal in Palworld and is the 26th creature on the Paldeck. Here’s how to find and catch one of these monsters in this survival game.
The list of Pals to capture in Palworld is enormous and while some are pretty rare to find and require special maneuver, others are scattered all over the map, making them pretty easy to find and capture. Direhowl is one of them.
This Neutral-type Pal resembling a black and white wolf is mostly violent and will attack on sight, which means you need to have the right Pal at your disposal to weaken and capture it. Direhowls appear both during the day and night and can be pretty useful when it comes to gathering resources or as a mount.
It moves slightly faster than most mounts, meaning it’ll be quite a catch in the early phases of the game.

How to find Direhowl in Palworld
In Palworld, you can find a Direhowl in the eastern, southern, and western parts of the Palpagos Islands. The areas marked in the image above are located mostly around Abandoned Mineshaft, Cove Mineshaft, and Verdant Brook.
That’s one way of finding Direhowl in the wild. The second way is by breeding Sparkit and Katress which produces a Direhowl. You may check our guide here to find a Katress in Palworld.
How to catch Direhowl in Palworld
Direhowls being Neutral in nature, are weak against Dark-type Pals. So, to catch one, you may bring along a Dark-type Pal like Mau to weaken a Direhowl, and then capture it using your Pal Sphere.
A Direhowl upon reaching different levels also learns multiple Active Skills like Air Cannon, Ignis Blast, and Pal Blast, which can be pretty handy in the early stages of the game.
