With Palworld being so new, knowing where certain Pals are is tough, so here’s your guide for where you can find and catch Astegon.
Pocketpair is off to a rocking start to 2024 as their part survival game, part creature collection game Palworld has become a runaway success, enough so to top Steam’s player count record.
Of course, being a monster collecting game, in which you can make your Pals work on a ranch, it’s best to know where you can find some of the game’s best Pals. Astegon is one of them.
With a high Work Sustainability level and generally being a great flying mount, it’s a great capture, so here is all you need to know about where to find Astegon in Palworld.
How to find Astegon in Palworld
Astegon can be found in two places. Either inside the Destroyed Mineshaft in the Volcanic region of the map, or in the No.3 Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Astegon in the southwest Volcanic region is a little bit more complicated. The entrance to the Destroyed Mineshaft can be found near the Mount Obsidian fast travel point. However, the entrance is quite hard to spot. The exact coordinates are -576, -421.

As for a more consistent place to find Astegons, you’ll have to travel far northeast to the No.3 Wildlife Sanctuary island just off the Glacier area.
You’ll need a flying Pal to get to it as it is separated from the mainland. The closest fast travel point is the Deep Sand Dunes, so it shouldn’t be too far a journey, granted if you have the point unlocked.
Astegon is a great Pal to have, as his level four Mining makes it one of the best Pals for mining-focused tasks. Even more so, it’s generally a great flying mount to have.
Since Astegon is a Dark Dragon type, it is weak to Ice or fellow Dragon Pals. So to make it easier on yourself, it’s best to bring along Pals with those types to capture an Astegon.
