Pandora’s Box has been opened, and with it comes a variety of chaos unfolding in Fortnite lobbies everywhere. Here’s what’s happened since the box has been opened.
Chapter 5 Season 2 of Fortnite is nearly here, but before it drops, Epic Games assembled a special in-game mini-event. Multiple earthquakes led to a giant Titan Hand spawning on the map holding Pandora’s Box, the fabled Greek mythology box home to evil, power, and chaotic elements.
Within 24 hours, players freed the box from the chains that bound it, which led to the box opening. Since it opened, it’s spawned loads of chaos in Fortnite.
With that in mind, here’s everything that’s happened as a result of Pandora’s Box opening.
Pandora’s Box effect on Fortnite
Before the event, leaks pretty much revealed everything players could expect come the event’s launch. To recap, the Titan Hand would pop out of the cracks in the ground, holding Pandora’s Box high above the ground.
Now that the event is live and the box is open, here’s everything that’s come as a result.
Pandora’s Box POI
Opening Pandora’s Box has unleashed a giant fiery vortex that can be used to launch yourself provided you jump into it.
However, a closer look at the vortex, and you’ll see fiery souls and hear the screams of said souls.

As you can imagine, the vortex is visible from the Spawn Island and the air as well while you deploy onto the map.
Building in Zero Build
Pandora’s Box is an object containing immense power and evil, and playing heavily into that ideal, players have discovered building has been enabled in Zero Build mode.
To clarify, it seems only killing bots will grant materials iFireMonkey stated in a follow-up to their video. However, there may be more ways of gaining mats, although it’s unclear as of now.
