On April 10, 2025, Wendy’s revealed its exciting lineup of six new Frosty flavors, set to make their debut this summer. Among these offerings are three Frosty Swirls, launching mid-April, and three Frosty Fusions, becoming available in May.
The Frosty, an iconic frozen dairy dessert, was one of the original items served by Wendy’s. As stated on the company’s website, founder Dave Thomas developed the treat in a classic light chocolate flavor, which quickly gained popularity, prompting the introduction of various new flavors over the years.
Wendy’s has a history of rolling out themed flavors, as seen with the Thin Mints Frosty launched in partnership with the Girl Scouts earlier this year. This trend showcases the brand’s commitment to innovative flavor profiles.
Exploring the New Frosty Flavors
The latest additions to the Frosty menu offer fresh experiences. The Frosty Swirls feature delightful sauces drizzled over the base Frosty, while the Frosty Fusions incorporate both sauces and mix-ins, each in three tantalizing flavors.
Frosty Swirls Varieties:
- Strawberry Frosty Swirl: This delicious creation features a swirl of strawberry sauce atop a creamy Frosty.
- Caramel Frosty Swirl: A sweet indulgence, this option showcases a rich caramel sauce draped over the classic Frosty.
- Brownie Batter Frosty Swirl: Chocolate lovers will appreciate this variant, adorned with brownie batter sauce.
Frosty Fusions Varieties:
- Pop-Tarts Frosty Fusion: Featuring strawberry sauce and fragments of strawberry-flavored Pop-Tarts Crunchy Poppers, this offering marks Pop-Tarts’ first collaboration as a mix-in in the quick-service restaurant sector.
- OREO Brownie Frosty Fusion: This rich blend includes chocolate brownie batter sauce coupled with crunchy OREO cookie crumbs.
- Caramel Crunch Frosty Fusion: A delightful treat, this fusion combines crunchy toffee bits with caramel sauce on top.
Availability and Expectations
The Frosty Swirls will hit Wendy’s locations across the US starting April 15, 2025. However, customers eager to try them can access these flavors early through the Wendy’s mobile app, beginning April 11, 2025. As for the Frosty Fusions, they will become available nationwide from May 12, 2025.
Wendy’s Chief Marketing Officer, Lindsay Radkoski, highlighted the significance of the Frosty in a press release dated April 10, stating:
“Frosty has been on Wendy’s menu for 55 years and is one of the most iconic frozen treats in American culture. We’re expanding on our beloved Frosty so when a sweet tooth strikes, the choice is easy for consumers: It’s Gotta Be Wendy’s.”
She further added:
“We know consumers are always on the lookout for new flavors and ways to customize their order with sauces and mix-ins. We can’t wait for everyone to experience even more ways to enjoy our iconic Frosty!”
According to All Recipes magazine, Wendy’s has also unveiled new cups and spoons for the Frosty. Each Frosty will now be served in a specially designed cup featuring a dome lid, complemented by a custom blue spoon, aimed at enhancing the eating experience and ensuring that every last bite can be enjoyed.
