Waffle House Collaborates with Olo for Late-Night Online Delivery Service

On April 2, 2025, Waffle House entered into a partnership with delivery service Olo to enhance its late-night offerings through online delivery. This collaboration builds upon their previous arrangement for online ordering, now extending the service window to accommodate hungry customers after dark.

Waffle House has secured its place as a cherished dining establishment across the United States, renowned for its breakfast menu. Following the initial launch of its online ordering system with Olo in 2023, the chain has broadened its service to include late-night delivery—now available from 9 PM to 7 AM.

Exploring the Waffle House and Olo Partnership

Olo serves as a vital delivery platform that connects eateries with third-party delivery services, thereby helping restaurants evade hefty commission fees—ultimately giving consumers a more budget-friendly delivery option.

Originally teaming up with Olo in late 2023 for online pick-up orders, Waffle House has now made it possible for customers to enjoy home delivery via its website. This service is operational at selected locations from 9 PM to 7 AM, focusing on delivering select menu items, affectionately known as the WaHo menu.

Patrick Marshburn, Executive Vice President of Waffle House, expressed enthusiasm about this development:

“We are excited to offer our customers another ordering channel, with delivery, to enjoy Waffle House at night. We are going to bring the same commitment of providing great food and hospitality to delivery, ensuring guests can enjoy their Waffle House favorites wherever they are.”

Currently, this late-night delivery option is available at approximately 500 locations across 25 states, with plans for further expansion. It’s important to note that phone orders for pick-up have been discontinued; customers must now place their orders through the website.

A Recap of the Initial Collaboration with Olo

The partnership between Waffle House and Olo was initially launched in 2023 to facilitate a seamless online ordering experience for pick-up orders, allowing for greater convenience for diners.

On that occasion, Patrick Marshburn noted (as reported by Business Wire):

“Waffle House is focused on providing exceptional hospitality and good food at a great value to our Customers. Providing them with the best possible dine-in experience will always be our priority. Yet, we also recognize our Customers sometimes choose to enjoy our food outside of our four walls.”

He added:

“So, we are thrilled to partner with Olo and offer an exceptional, online ordering experience to meet that need. Digital ordering and pay will streamline the ordering process from start to finish for our Customers and Associates.”

This functionality, including late-night delivery, is accessible at all locations of the restaurant chain throughout the United States.

Current Developments: Egg Surcharges at Waffle House

As reported by All Recipes, Waffle House has maintained its surcharge on egg items, a policy enacted more than two months ago. This decision stems from an ongoing nationwide egg shortage triggered by an outbreak of bird flu that began in mid-2024, significantly affecting egg-laying populations.

In response, many establishments, including Waffle House, implemented a temporary surcharge of $0.50 on menu items that feature eggs. While this measure has been positioned as temporary, it remains in effect as of now.

This shortage has similarly prompted numerous retail outlets to impose limits on the sale of eggs temporarily.
