Vampire Survivors: Setting Up Cross Save Feature

The long-awaited cross-save feature has rolled out in Vampire Survivors, enabling players to synchronize their progress seamlessly across various platforms. However, there are some notable limitations, particularly for PlayStation users, who may find the current implementation of cross-save disappointing.

This exciting addition follows extensive teasing and coincides with the launch of the free Emerald Diorama expansion, which introduces a wealth of new content, including elements from Square Enix’s iconic SaGa RPG franchise. Setting up cross-save in Vampire Survivors is a straightforward process, and future updates may bring support for additional platforms.

Setting Up Cross-Save in Vampire Survivors: A Step-by-Step Guide

To initiate cross-progression in Vampire Survivors and transfer your save files between platforms, the first step is to create a Poncle account. You can achieve this by clicking the cloud icon located in the top-left corner of the main menu. This will guide you through the account creation process and sync your data to the cloud.

Vampire Survivors Poncle Account

After establishing your Poncle account, you can transfer your save data to other platforms. Simply log back into your Poncle account, navigate to “My Account,”and then select “Manage Data”followed by “Save Data.”Press the “Save”button to upload your save file into the Vampire Survivors cloud storage. To access your data on another platform, repeat this process, opting for “Load Data”instead of “Save Data”in the account menu. Please note that cloud saves do not sync automatically, meaning you need to upload and download your save files manually when switching devices.

Vampire Survivors Cross Save Data

It’s important to keep in mind that while Vampire Survivors allows transfer of save data, it does not support DLC cross-buy for expansions like Ode to Castlevania. If you transfer your save data to a platform where you do not own the corresponding DLC, you will simply be unable to access that content until you acquire it on your current platform. Additionally, achievements may unlock automatically when you download your save data, although this is contingent upon the active platform.

As it stands, cross-save functionality is available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox, Android, and iOS devices, with compatibility for Nintendo Switch expected soon. Unfortunately, cross-save is not yet available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, primarily due to a last-minute legal snag encountered by the developers. While the chances of a future cross-save implementation on PlayStation consoles appear slim, it remains a possibility that could evolve down the road. The same limitation applies to the Apple Arcade version of Vampire Survivors, which currently lacks cross-save support.
