Complete Overview of Valorant Patch 10.06
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the updates included in Valorant Patch 10.06:
General Changes Across All Platforms
Agent Modifications
KAY/O
Despite KAY/O’s engaging learning curve, feedback and gameplay data suggest a persistent challenge with balancing his skill ceiling and skill floor. The adjustments made in this patch focus on enhancing the flexibility and coordination of his abilities:
- The overhand flash has been redesigned to offer increased flexibility for mid-range use, aligning more closely with other flash abilities.
- These adjustments are intended to protect KAY/O’s high skill ceiling, ensuring expert players can still leverage skillful pop flashes effectively.
- Moreover, the resurrection duration for his ultimate has been reduced, encouraging more dynamic team play to support a downed KAY/O.
FLASH/DRIVE Changes:
- Bouncing flashes will now initiate a windup of 0.8 seconds before activation, complemented by distinctive audio and visual effects.
- This windup will not interfere with the current maximum time from throw to pop if it is already below 0.8 seconds.
- Underhand flash duration adjusted from 1.25 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
- Expanded callout range for KAY/O’s “flashing” voice line from 20 meters to 50 meters.
- Unequip time is improved from 0.85 seconds to 0.6 seconds.
- A new minimap indicator for flashes has been introduced for teammates’ awareness.
NULL/cmd Adjustments:
- Reduced ally resurrection time from 3 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
Yoru
- The utility provided by Fakeout at a cost of 100 credits was deemed excessive.
- Fakeout
- Cost increased from 100 to 200 credits.
Vyse
Post-buffs in patch 9.11, Vyse has become a notable presence in the game. However, the durations of her abilities were found to be overstated considering the increased threat level of her Razorvines. Thus, we are updating the following:
Razorvine Duration:
- Shortened from 10 seconds to 7 seconds.
Shear:
- Triggered Wall Duration reduced from 8 seconds to 6 seconds.
Player Behavior Enhancements
- The notifications regarding cheating reports have been improved, ensuring players receive prompt feedback when a report leads to a ban.
Performance Improvements
- Enhanced CPU performance on the Sunset map by decreasing the number of map-specific objects that tick each frame.
