Popular Twitch streamer Rachell “Valkyrae”has recently garnered attention due to her association with the newly released A Minecraft Movie. During a stream in early 2024 with FaZe Jason “JasonTheWeen,”Valkyrae revealed her participation in the film. However, she also voiced concerns regarding actor Jason Momoa, who plays a prominent role in the movie, alleging that he mistreated crew members during production. She candidly stated:
“So, A Minecraft Movie, I have a cameo in A Minecraft Movie. So…I really have to say, Jason Momoa. I just saw him, like, mistreat some of the crew, and it was pretty disappointing.”
While Valkyrae’s involvement in the film had been confirmed, fans were surprised to find that her cameo did not appear in the final cut. This omission led to rampant speculation online, with some users wondering if she had violated a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
In a recent livestream on April 6, 2025, Valkyrae addressed the situation again. She mentioned:
“As for the Minecraft Movie, let’s just say I’m not gonna touch too much on it, but as much as you guys saw the other creators that were in it, (it) would have been the equal amount you saw me in it which is 30 seconds. So it’s okay. I would much rather not have 30 seconds than be sued.”
Reflecting on Her Journey: “It Was a Wonderful 10 Days in New Zealand”
Valkyrae took some time to reflect on her personal experience filming A Minecraft Movie, which premiered on April 4, 2025. While she had initially announced her cameo, it became clear later that her scenes had been edited out. Nonetheless, she fondly recalled her 10-day trip to New Zealand, where the filming took place:
“It was a wonderful 10 days in New Zealand for that 30 seconds, and I’m really glad that I got to visit New Zealand. Things could’ve been so much worse; that’s all I’m going to say about it.”
Moreover, Valkyrae clarified that her exclusion from the movie should not reflect poorly on the film itself:
“It’s not even Minecraft. It’s not their fault. Don’t even worry. No, the movie did not suck. I thought it was good.”
Though Valkyrae’s scene was ultimately cut, many other well-known content creators made memorable cameo appearances in A Minecraft Movie. These included popular figures like Daniel “DanTDM,”Lizzie “LDShadowLady,”Oliver “Mumbo Jumbo,”and Jessica “Aphmau,”all contributing to the film’s appeal for fans of the gaming community.
