Sillad is an Elf who excels in ice magic and refuses to retreat in the face of adversity. He made his debut during the Jeju Island arc, where he detected the mana of the Shadow Monarch. Confused by Ashborn’s unexpected support for humans, Sillad is committed to his mission of exterminating all human vessels of the Rulers.

During a conversation with Rakan regarding Ashborn, another key figure named Sung II-Hwan is on a covert mission to eliminate both Ashborn’s vessel and any Monarchs he encounters. Seizing an opportunity, Hwan attempts to ambush Sillad in America. Unfortunately, Sillad is not alone, accompanied by Yogumunt, which forces Hwan to retreat in the face of overwhelming odds.

Sillad remains relentless in his pursuit of the Rulers’ vessel on Earth and eventually confronts Go Gunhee. In a brutal assault, he strikes Gunhee while the latter is in his office, inflicting severe injuries. However, just as Sillad prepares to deliver a killing blow, Jinwoo arrives on the scene using Shadow Exchange.

Realizing he’s facing Ashborn’s human vessel, Sillad acknowledges Jinwoo’s formidable strength, even without the complete powers of the Shadow Monarch. Opting for a strategic retreat, Sillad plans to return with reinforcements, unaware that backup will not secure his victory against Jinwoo.

To bolster his efforts against Jinwoo, Sillad rallies other Monarchs. While some, like Yogumunt, display cowardice, both Rakan and Querehsha step up to confront Jinwoo. Rakan’s plan to lure Jinwoo by battling Thomas Andre proves successful. When Jinwoo arrives, Sillad, along with Querehsha, springs into action to hunt their target.

Despite the daunting odds of facing three Monarchs, Jinwoo manages to defeat Querehsha. However, the fight intensifies as Rakan and Sillad engage Jinwoo directly. In a shocking turn, Rakan delivers a devastating attack from behind, leading to Jinwoo’s apparent demise. Yet, this death is temporary, as a few moments later, Jinwoo’s black heart begins to beat once more, signaling his transformation into the Shadow Monarch and Ashborn’s true successor.

Sensing the change, Sillad and Rakan attempt to finish Jinwoo before he recovers, but fate intervenes as Sung II-Hwan arrives just in time to protect his son. Though Sillad severely injures Hwan, the former Hunter fights valiantly to ensure Jinwoo’s resurrection.

Seeing that failure is imminent, Rakan chooses to flee, but Sillad remains steadfast. Displaying honor as a warrior, he confronts Jinwoo head-on. Ultimately, this valor leads to Sillad’s downfall, as Jinwoo, now fully empowered, overwhelms the Frost Monarch and delivers a fatal blow, shattering Sillad’s trident in the process.

Sillad’s introduction marked one of the earliest appearances of the Monarchs in the series, playing a crucial role in challenging Jinwoo and ultimately paving the way for his evolution into the next Shadow Monarch.
