However, despite their distinct appearances, all these wolves share the same 3D models and facial expressions: untamed wolves have flat eyes, aggressive ones possess red eyes, and tamed wolves have slanted eyes.

Jumping to 2025, the introduction of six new sound sets for wolves—dubbed big, classic, cute, puglin, angry, grumpy, and sad—occurred without tying these sounds to the unique features of each wolf variant. This creates a scenario in which a wolf might emit an aggressive growl while still appearing small and cute, with its facial expression remaining unchanged.

The result is an unsettling experience for players, who may find the auditory and visual elements of the wolves inconsistent. The disparity between the sound of aggression and the appearance of a non-threatening wolf can lead to moments that are both surprising and disorienting.

Notably, this feature has already been successfully applied to pandas, which exhibit distinct personalities and facial expressions.
