On March 30, 2025, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun announced that the series will return with a sequel in July 2025. This highly anticipated sequel was confirmed in conjunction with the release of a teaser visual created by AidaIro, the original creators of the manga.
Sequel Premiere Scheduled for July 2025
The announcement followed the airing of the season 2 finale (episode 12) on the same day. The upcoming sequel is set to air weekly every Sunday at 4:30 PM JST starting July 2025, although a specific release date has yet to be revealed.
Alongside this thrilling announcement, the anime’s official staff revealed a stunning commemorative illustration featuring main characters Hanako-kun, Nene Yashiro, and Akane Aoi. The artwork encapsulates the series’ eerie atmosphere, showcasing its beloved characters in a captivating style.
