Mastering Barrel Bowling: A Guide

Monster Hunter Wilds: Barrel Bowling

The Barrel Bowling mini-game introduces its own distinct rules and scoring system, offering players the chance to earn valuable items that can assist in their hunts. To embark on your Barrel Bowling adventure, head to the Grand Hub and navigate to the right, taking the stairs that ascend to a large hill.

At the top, you’ll encounter Rollie, a Palico vendor stationed beside a stack of barrel bombs. Although you can practice throwing these barrels freely, conversing with Rollie enables you to experience the game in its full-fledged format. As a reward for speaking with him, you will receive 10 Barrel Bowling Tickets, the currency required to participate in the competitive version of Barrel Bowling.

Once you have exchanged a ticket, you will have two opportunities to accumulate points. Throughout the game, you’ll aim at various targets on the hill, which yield different point values:

  • Small Pins: 2 points each
  • Large Pins: 20 points each
  • Palico Statue: 200 points

After completing your throws, the game assesses your performance and assigns a rank from D (the lowest) to A (the highest). Achieving a higher rank not only leads to greater bragging rights but also unlocks more substantial rewards. These rewards can include hunt-related items such as potions and additional tickets usable at the Grand Hub, like meal vouchers.

This new update for Monster Hunter Wilds, particularly the Barrel Bowling experience, adds an exciting layer to gameplay, inviting players to explore new avenues and strategies in their monster-hunting endeavors.
