The Television Academy Launches “Televerse” Festival for Emmy Voters and Fans
In a groundbreaking move, the Television Academy is set to introduce its inaugural TV festival, named “Televerse,”designed to enhance the Emmy voting experience. This event promises to provide fans and Academy voters with unprecedented access to Emmy-nominated shows.
Festival Details
Scheduled to take place from August 14 to 15 at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live in Los Angeles, the festival will collaborate with various studios, networks, platforms, and technology companies. The aim is to curate a dynamic lineup featuring insider discussions, meet-and-greet opportunities, interactive exhibits, as well as premieres and sneak peeks of upcoming shows.
Exclusive Access for Voters
For the first time, Emmy voters attending Televerse will have the unique opportunity to engage in Academy-sanctioned “For Your Consideration” panels with this year’s nominees before the final voting round. This initiative allows voters to gain deeper insights into the creative process behind the nominees and the shows they love.
A New Approach to FYC Events
Typically, the Academy hosts a comprehensive “Phase 1” FYC event calendar, but events centered on “Phase 2” —which occurs post-nominations—are rare. The newly introduced panels will specifically highlight the nominated shows, ensuring a focused experience for attendees.
