On March 29, 2025, Sulli’s brother, Choi, took to Instagram (@k.d.bomba) to confront actor Kim Soo-hyun, alleging that the star chose to contact their mother rather than address him directly regarding ongoing controversies surrounding the film Real.
Choi accused Kim Soo-hyun of attempting to silence him amid rising tensions related to this issue. In a heated post, he expressed his frustrations:
“Did you like nagging my mom instead of talking to me? You low-life Korean b*****d. You spent 48 hours coming up with the idea of calling my mom and having her shut my mouth. You’re a f**king idiot,”he wrote, as translated by Koreaboo.
The confrontation follows a statement made by Choi, referred to as ‘A’, on March 28, 2025, to Sports Kyunghyang. He demanded clarity from Kim Soo-hyun and director Lee Sa-rang regarding allegations that his late sister was pressured into filming a bedroom scene in Real without the use of a body double.
“During Sulli’s funeral, we heard from staff and actors that her bedroom scene with Kim Soo-hyun was originally not as detailed in the script. We would like to hear Kim Soo-hyun’s position on this,”he declared.
Choi further questioned the decision-making process behind the filming:
“As far as I know, there was a body double for Sulli’s nude scene at the time of filming, and the body double was on set. Why didn’t they use a body double and persuade Sulli to do the bed scene and the nude scene?”
In response to these renewed allegations concerning Sulli, Kim Soo-hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, issued a statement addressing the claims.

Before the latest statement, Choi had made several ambiguous posts on social media that many believed were targeted at Kim Soo-hyun. In one post, he referred to a person named “Kim,”which many interpreted as a direct reference to the actor.
“Mr. Kim, I have a lot to say, but I can’t do it. You will fall from high places; hold on tight,”Sulli’s brother shared in an Instagram update.
While Choi did not initially name Kim Soo-hyun directly, he criticized fans defending the actor. He had previously asked Kim to respond but felt compelled to voice his concerns again after receiving no reply.
Amid the resurfacing Real controversy, the film’s former director, Lee Jung-seob, has also spoken out. Lee, who was replaced by Kim Soo-hyun’s cousin Lee Sa-rang, has used social media to comment on the situation and expressed his discontent with Kim Soo-hyun. On March 28, 2025, he shared a netizen’s remark regarding the issue, stating:
“Thank you. I’ve been heartbroken for a long time.”
Lee, who withdrew from the project during its production, also reacted to discussions linking Kim Soo-hyun to Kim Sae-ron when she was a minor. He specifically remarked:
“Same old scheme, insulting. Trauma XX.”
These comments coincide with allegations that Kim Soo-hyun dated Kim Sae-ron, which her family claims began in 2015 when she was just 16. Gold Medalist initially disputed these claims but later acknowledged a relationship between the two from 2019 to 2020, following the emergence of photographic evidence.
