“My initial intention was to film in Japan,” White revealed. “But after an unfortunate incident on ‘The Amazing Race’ where my father and I were eliminated in Thailand, my feelings were mixed. HBO, however, encouraged the idea because Thailand offers excellent tax incentives for filming. As an artist, it was a tough sell for me initially.”
