Gameplay in InZOI involves delicate management of the household dynamics of your Zoi, along with the potential integration of other Zoi who inhabit the city you’ve selected. As you navigate through everyday scenarios, your Zoi will naturally form and develop relationships, which may lead you to rethink family structures or allow different Zoi to cohabit.
While cohabitation typically requires marriage, the game also provides a mechanism to relocate any Zoi into new living arrangements. By utilizing features that allow you to split and merge households, you can reorganize the families in your city at will. This guide will walk you through everything you need to effectively manage household configurations in InZOI.
InZOI: A Guide to Splitting and Merging Households

In InZOI, the capabilities to split or merge households serve as essential gameplay features that can enhance your experience by introducing new dynamics or enabling romantically involved Zoi to move in together prior to any formal commitment. This process is accessible at any moment during your playthrough and is straightforward to execute. Start by accessing the City Map menu using the M
key as a shortcut.
From the map interface, select the Manage Zois option and navigate to the Manage Family tab. This section displays a comprehensive list of all Zoi families residing within your chosen city, organized by surname. At the top of this list, you will find the Move Zois Between Families button, which you can click to proceed.

Upon clicking this option, a new menu will appear, allowing you to select two families and swap members between them, thus altering their living arrangements. It’s important to note that moving Zoi does not affect their identity; their names will remain unchanged despite their new household affiliations. This feature provides a unique opportunity to tailor the living environment of your Zoi, adding a personal touch to your gameplay experience.
Additionally, if you prefer to temporarily separate family members, you can opt for the Create Temporary Family option, which allows for isolation from their original household. Furthermore, this Manage Family menu also permits the creation of entirely new families that can inhabit any available lots or homes that can accommodate them.
