While seasonal quests are usually straightforward, one particular challenge in the recent Act II chapter has left many players feeling confused.
The challenge arises in the initial mission of Act II, Week 3, where players are tasked with performing a ‘Binding Ritual’ in the Nether. During this mission, several Taken eyes appear suspended in the air. Unfortunately, the game offers limited guidance on how to proceed with this specific task, leading to potential frustration.

Guide to ‘Complete the Binding’ in Destiny 2 Heresy
1. Prerequisites for the Binding Step
The ‘Complete the Binding’ phase is the eighth step in the Heresy Act II storyline, introduced in Week 3. At this juncture, players will meet Eris in the Nether, where she initiates the ritual and summons a Dread Subjugator accompanied by several Taken enemies.
2. Steps to Successfully Complete the Binding
Once you fend off the initial wave of adversaries, the Taken eyes will begin to manifest in the air. Here’s how to proceed with the binding ritual:
- Stay vigilant as the floating Taken eyes can attack you, so find cover immediately.
- Identify and aim at the eyes to locate the “Eye of Vengeance”amongst them.
- The “Eyes of Vengeance”will be the ones actively shooting at you.
- Each group will feature three “Eyes of Vengeance.”
- Focus solely on shooting the “Eye of Vengeance,”ignoring the other eyes.
- After successfully eliminating three Eyes of Vengeance, allow the enemy waves to respawn, and repeat this process for two additional groups.
- Refrain from using splash damage weapons such as Osteo Striga, Thorn, or anything with the Incandescent perk to avoid inadvertently damaging and destroying other eyes, which could reset the puzzle.
