In the gripping subchapter dubbed Fight A God from the adventure-filled world of Split Fiction, Rader takes his villainy to new extremes. This article serves as a comprehensive guide to navigate the complexities of this challenging subchapter.
Note: Spoilers for Split Fiction’s narrative may be included in this guide.
Confrontation with Rader: A True Test of Skill

After besting the Cross Section segment, Rader transports Zoe and Mio to a volcanic arena where a fierce battle ensues. Rader’s colossal form poses a formidable threat, capable of dealing massive damage, especially if players are not diligent. This moment reveals Rader’s descent into moral ambiguity as he embodies the archetype of a true villain.
Unlike previous confrontations where Rader aimed to drive a wedge between them, Zoe and Mio team up in this chapter to take on Rader together. This particular fight is unique—not only does it test their teamwork, but it also strikes a personal chord as they face a real adversary rather than a mere figment of their imaginations.
Strategies for Conquering A God
As the battle commences, Rader wields a massive, lava-dipped sword that he swings menacingly. Players must utilize double jumps and air dashes to dodge his powerful attacks effectively.
If Rader misses a swing, he will slam his sword onto the platform, creating a highlighted area that signals a potential attack. It’s crucial to note that even missed strikes generate lethal waves of fire, making timing and positioning essential.
After a while, glitches will cascade down from the sky. Zoe and Mio can harness these glitches to their advantage; by pressing triangle or Y, they can arm themselves with powerful weapons, initiating the second phase of their encounter.
Phase Two: The World of Waterfalls

As Zoe and Mio transition into a new realm filled with majestic waterfalls, they gain the ability to unleash energy blades from their swords to inflict damage on Rader. In response, he counters with shark projectiles from the waterfalls and lasers from above, all the while utilizing a trident to summon pillars that can knock the heroines off their feet.
Success in this phase relies on agility and damage output. Recognizing Rader’s attack patterns, which are largely predictable, will aid players in mastering this part of the battle. If players navigate the initial threats effectively, the subsequent challenges in this phase will come with relative ease as they adapt and evolve their strategy.
Following this encounter, Rader will seize the opportunity to transport Zoe and Mio to yet another world for the final showdown.
Phase Three: The Lunar Battlefield
Now situated on the moon, Zoe and Mio must contend with Rader’s meteor barrage. Players should prioritize evading these incoming projectiles while simultaneously delivering damage. Alternatively, delegating roles—one player focusing on meteor destruction while the other attacks Rader—can enhance their chances of victory.
Afterward, Rader will commandeer a spaceship to unleash its weapons upon the heroines. Though the rockets fired from the ship are powerful, they do not explode on impact, allowing players to evade effectively while continuing their assault on Rader.
As the fight reaches its climax, Rader will retreat momentarily to recharge, before launching a devastating attack aimed at the platform below, ultimately sending Zoe and Mio off to the next subchapter with a renewed perspective.
Split Fiction is currently available on key platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, as well as PC, inviting new players to embark on this thrilling journey.
