SomeOrdinaryGamers Considers Legal Action Against Noah Samsen for Defamation
On March 25, 2025, renowned YouTuber Mutahar, known as “SomeOrdinaryGamers,”revealed he is contemplating legal action against fellow creator Noah Samsen. This announcement follows the release of Samsen’s controversial video, titled The YouTubers Who Backed a Genocide, which prominently featured SomeOrdinaryGamers among other prominent figures such as Turkey Tom, Ethan Klein, and Destiny. An image of an Israeli flag also graced the background, fueling the controversy.
Shortly before his announcement, SomeOrdinaryGamers ended a hiatus from X on March 11, 2025, to vigorously refute claims that he had endorsed genocide within discussions regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict. He characterized Samsen’s video as slanderous and expressed dismay at HasanAbi, a political streamer who had lauded the content as “great”in an Instagram post.
In a detailed statement, SomeOrdinaryGamers emphasized that his intention is not to inflict financial harm on Samsen but to protect his reputation and career from damaging allegations. He confirmed he is exploring legal options against Samsen for defamation, stating:
“In regards to Noah and his defamation. I never want to financially harm or bring a lawsuit to a creator, but slander like this is far too extreme and unchecked which is at this time we are exploring legal action against Noah for Defamation/Slander.”
Impact of Accusations on SomeOrdinaryGamers’ Life
SomeOrdinaryGamers further voiced his concerns about the damaging effects the defamatory accusations have had on his personal and professional life. He mentioned that neither he nor his team could locate any evidence in Samsen’s videos to substantiate the claim that he is a “genocide supporter”:
“In the last couple weeks, a YouTuber Noah Samsen has uploaded a few videos labeling me as a ‘genocide supporter’ in the title and thumbnail of the video. Today my team and I sat down to watch them and could not find a single clip of me supporting the Israeli government or any of its genocidal practices. Normally, I’d not engage with this discourse, but this has affected my business and bled into my personal life.”
As a Muslim, SomeOrdinaryGamers reiterated his opposition to injustices perpetuated by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), asserting his stance against violence:
“As a Muslim, I have always supported my people and I’ve never talked about this topic with much political knowledge. That said, you don’t need to be knowledgeable to stand against the injustices by the IDF. Journalists and civilians have recently been killed in a wave of attacks ending a short-lived ceasefire. That is never okay and needs to end, and I hope in my lifetime it does.”
SomeOrdinaryGamers is not the only creator voicing disapproval of Samsen’s content; Ethan Klein also condemned the video soon after its release.
