On February 18, the second night of the 31st Hanteo Music Awards was held at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, in Seoul. The highly anticipated ceremony had everyone hyped, as many fans cheered for their favorite artists in their awarding and exciting performances.

However, on social media, reports of an audience member having “pooped”inside the venue went viral on platform X (Twitter).

This was accompanied by several photos showing several K-pop idols covering their noses to block the stench. Some clips showed the event being thrown in a state of panic and alarm.

Attendees shared that security arrived at the scene and verified that it was indeed fecal matter. They also claimed that the poop could not be cleaned, which led it to persist until the awarding ceremony had ended.

“They said someone pooped on the stand near the trestle of Hanteo. The security guard came to see it and upon checking, he said it was poop and left.”

“After checking, it’s poop. Don’t push it, and said over the radio that there was poop here, and left.”

“Fans are saying that security confirmed that it was indeed s**t and checked it out by using a flashlight. They looked at it, but they said they couldn’t clean it up and that there was nothing they could do. It smelled like s**t and this is the only one I remember from the Hanteo Chart Awards.”

On the same day (February 18), a netizen made a post on X (Twitter) and claimed to have been the “pooper”at the awards show. The post started with a notice-like title addressing the incident, followed by the netizen’s apology to everyone present in the program. Read the statement below:

“Hanteo Poop Standing Toilet.

Hello, I am the person who pooped my pants at the Hanteo Charts concert hall. After looking at posts on Twitter, I realized how many people experienced a hard time because of me. I apologize to the people who were affected by this inconvenience.

I will remember what happened today and will reflect on this incident. Once again, I’m sorry for (ruining) your good day.”
