Chance “Sodapoppin,”a prominent Twitch streamer, recently made a significant announcement regarding the fate of his OnlyFangs World of Warcraft Classic Hardcore guild. Originally scheduled to raid Blackwing Lair on March 23, 2025, the guild’s activities were abruptly curtailed due to unfortunate circumstances when a DDoS attack wiped out members in-game.
The Impact of DDoS Attacks on the Guild
In response to the devastating in-game losses, Sodapoppin expressed his frustrations, revealing that the attacks seemed to be targeted specifically at his guild. He stated:
“Clearly… well, this sucks. So, we’re not able to raid. We’re clearly being targeted, which sucks. I don’t know what this means on the horizon if we’re not able to play. We tried yesterday, we canceled it. We tried today, immediately got, you know, f**ked on the first boss pull. So, long term, guys, I don’t know what this means. I’ll talk to people here and there and see if there’s, like, a long-term fix here and there.”
Later on the same day, through a message shared on the guild’s Discord server, Sodapoppin declared the dissolution of the OnlyFangs guild.
Understanding the Guild’s Closure: Insights from Discord
During a live stream on March 23, fellow Twitch streamer Jason “Pikaboo”broadcasted Sodapoppin’s Discord announcement, providing further insights into the guild’s decision to disband. He revealed that as a co-owner of One True King (OTK), he had explored the possibility of restoring lost characters following the DDoS incident, but deemed that outcome “highly unlikely.”
Expressing his reluctance to “drag people”through unnecessary preparations for raiding, Sodapoppin confirmed the guild’s end, stating:
“@everyone So clearly the DDOS attacks are centered on us. I’ve reached out for potential rollback, but it’s highly unlikely and I wouldn’t hope for it. So many of us died but we still have people that can play; regardless, though, I don’t feel comfortable dragging people through getting world buffs, flasks, and consumes etc. just to raid with the anxiety and probably the actuality of just being DDOS’d again and dying. So with that, I’d expect ONLYFANGS is over. If your character is still alive, you are welcome to join a new guild. Or if you guys want to do in-house raiding still, you are welcome, with a smaller spotlight, the DDoS’s are less likely to happen. It’s a terrible ending in my opinion, but that’s the ending we got.”

A Grateful Farewell and Future Prospects
In closing, Sodapoppin took a moment to express his gratitude to the streamers who participated in the guild, reflecting on the positive experiences shared throughout its duration:
“On a positive note, the beginning of OnlyFangs was SO long ago; I think a lot of us forgot how awesome the entire event was. I wanted to thank all of you for being a part of it. This was…like half a year of dedication, and probably the biggest event I’ve personally ever been a part of in my entire life. The overall hours each of us individually put in probably racked up to literally multiple lifetimes. Thank you all for being there at the beginning and especially a big thank you for those who even stuck it out in the end. Until OnlyFangs 3 or other games, I see you guys in, GGs everyone. f**kin’ GGs.”
Moreover, he indicated that, should a rollback or a robust DDoS protection system be implemented in the future, the community might reconsider the guild’s termination:
“If we get a rollback or I hear of some solid DDoS protection bulls**t, ignore this, but yeah it’s probably fkd, cause I don’t see that happening. Wanted to give you guys an update as soon as possible with where my head is at.”
This is not the first time OnlyFangs has attracted attention; in January 2025, the guild created a stir when Sodapoppin removed Jason “Thor,”also known as “Pirate Software,”from the in-game collective.
