Box Office Update: Snow White’s Struggles Continue
As reported by Variety, the latest figures indicate that Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White is on track to accumulate approximately $14.2 million over its second weekend in U.S. theaters. This performance marks a significant drop, placing the film in the second position behind A Working Man, which has showcased stronger box office resilience.
Significant Second Weekend Dip
This decline represents a staggering 66% drop from the film’s opening weekend, setting a new record for the steepest second-week decline for any Disney live-action adaptation. This figure surpasses the previous record held by Dumbo (2019), which had a 60% drop during its second week. Comparatively, other notable live-action titles from Disney have experienced varied declines, with Cruella at -48.8%, Jungle Cruise at -54.8%, and Haunted Mansion at -61.7%.
Global Performance and Rankings
Despite its disappointing domestic performance, Snow White has achieved a commendable global box office total of $143.1 million. This total allows it to surpass both Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy ($125.8 million) and Dog Man ($130.8 million), positioning the film as the third highest-grossing movie of 2025 worldwide. It trails only behind Captain America: Brave New World, which has grossed $403.8 million, and the phenomenal Ne Zha 2, which has reached a remarkable $1.896 billion globally.
