Actress Shin Min-ah revealed an anecdote about the mukbang scene in the movie “Our Season”
The December 7th broadcast of KBS CoolFM’s “Lee Eun-ji’s Music Plaza” featured the guest appearance of Shin Min-ah.
When DJ Lee Eun-ji asked Shin Min-ah to tell a behind-the-scenes story of her cooking scene, saying “I heard you made different kinds of foods. How did you film the scene? Did you really cook it?” .
Shin Min-ah explained, “If there’s a cooking scene, I’ll do it just a little bit. There are people who are in charge of the food setting. There are people who cook it for me, I performed some parts of the process” . In addition, she shared, “I practiced using knives a little bit. Rather than showcasing Jin-joo’s great skills, I wanted to make it feel more like a home-cooked meal made by mom” .
Lee Eun-ji continued, “I think the scenes with food will make me feel like wanting to eat it. Did you try the food yourself?” . Shin Min-ah agreed, saying “Sometimes, other actors spit the food after shooting too many eating scenes, but I tend to eat them all. I never spit it out during the shoot” .
Regarding the reason, she said, “I needed to eat and swallow it to know the feeling so that I could express it. The food was also delicious.”
