Actor Ji Chang-wook was recently embroiled in a controversy over smoking indoors. He was caught smoking in a small space during a script rehearsal of JTBC’s drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri” .
This scene was cut from a making video and Ji Chang-wook was not the only person there. The small space was crowded with many staff and fellow actors, including Shin Hye-sun. While pouring criticism over Ji Chang-wook’s behavior, netizens also highlighted Shin Hye-sun’s efforts to match the lines for the script rehearsal without losing her smile despite sitting right next to Ji Chang-wook.

In response to Shin Hye-sun’s pleasant expression, Internet users commented, “She might have felt annoyed by the smoke but she did not frown” , “Fellow actors are very generous. They were aware of his indoor smoking but they understood him” , etc.
In the meantime, some people even brought up Shin Hye-sun’s easy-going personality on “You Quiz on the Block” to re-examine. When asked how she spends her time, the actress revealed her MBTI as INFP and said, “What I like about my personality is that I’m good at switching off myself. If I’m stressed out, I’ll switch myself off” , adding “Many people cannot escape from their characters when they haven’t finished the work, but I can solve it right after the last shoot. I think that’s my strength and it helps me do many projects” , showcasing her professionalism.

When Yoo Jae-suk mentioned her good alcohol tolerance, Shin Hye-sun confessed, “I don’t have a hobby and I don’t feel the need to have one. As people get older, they tend to think having a hobby will enrich their lives, but I don’t.” When Jo Se-ho asked if she often travels, Shin Hye-sun said, “We can find everything on YouTube these days. It’s too tiring to pack luggage and make decisions” . Many viewers actually responded that they sympathized with the actress.
Meanwhile, Ji Chang-wook’s agency apologized for the actor’s indoor smoking behavior on February 11th.
