Exciting News: SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi and Woozi Form a New Sub-Unit
SEVENTEEN’s charismatic member Hoshi is set to debut alongside fellow member Woozi in an exciting new sub-unit. This development follows their previous collaboration on the duet “Shoot Me and Go,” featured in SEVENTEEN’s second studio album, Teen, Age, released in 2017.
A Flourishing Duo
The Hoshi and Woozi collaboration marks another milestone for SEVENTEEN, as it is the second duo formation since members Jeonghan and Wonwoo released the single “This Man” earlier this June. Fans of the group are eagerly anticipating what these two talented artists will bring to the stage together.
Second Sub-Unit Formation
This new sub-unit will also be the group’s second collaboration effort, following the much-loved triplet sub-unit known as BSS, or BooSeokSoon, which includes Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan. The triplet made a memorable debut with their unreleased track “Just Do It,” originally shared as a special treat for fans during a fan meeting. The song was later officially released as a digital single in March 2018, showcasing the group’s unique chemistry.
Heavy Rain Warning: A Fitting Nickname
Fans of SEVENTEEN have affectionately coined the pair “Heavy Rain Warning,” a nickname that resonates with the deep appreciation for their abilities. Both Hoshi and Woozi, born in 1996, play pivotal roles within the group—Hoshi serves as the leader of the performance team while Woozi leads the vocal ensemble, solidifying their status as pivotal figures in SEVENTEEN.
Looking Ahead
With a busy year ahead, Hoshi will be juggling multiple roles, including his involvement in the upcoming BSS comeback scheduled for early January. This promising year foresees both sub-units showcasing their artistry and talent, leaving fans eagerly waiting for new music and performances from the remarkable members of SEVENTEEN.
