On the morning of January 4th, Ryu Jun-yeol had an interview at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul and shared various talks about his new movie as well as his acting career.
That day, Ryu Jun-yeol looked surprised when he heard that it had been 10 years since tvN’s drama “Reply 1988” aired. He reacted, “It’s already 10 years?” . Upon hearing that “Reply 1994” released YouTube content for the 10th anniversary, Ryu Jun-yeol said, “I didn’t know that” .
He continued, “Someone recently asked me, ‘Which person are you closest to among the cast?’, and it was so hard to answer. I don’t know how close we are, but I love them all” , adding “Isn’t it normally like that? Even if we meet someone only once or twice a year, there are moments when we feel we are very close to them.”
Ryu Jun-yeol emphasized, “I always observe what my ‘Reply’ friends are doing and their news. In that sense, I hope we can meet steadily and healthily every year, rather than placing significance on the 10th anniversary only” .
In addition, Ryu Jun-yeol also unveiled his extraordinary affection for the movie “Alienoid” . Revealing his feelings ahead of Part 2 release, the actor said, “I feel like I’m letting go of the child I gave birth to” , adding “The filming took 387 days to finish and it was a new experience to me. There can’t always be good results but I think it’s fate. It’s a good thing that the relationship between people in this movie and their fate can be shown to viewers” .
Confessing that he felt the excitement of doing action scenes, Ryu Jun-yeol said, “I want to do action projects again in the future. I learned and felt various tastes of actions” , adding “Kim Tae-ri was so good when it comes to action scenes. I was amazed by her energy and concentration” .
When asked if he had confidence about Part 2 of “Alienoid” , the actor replied, “Rather than feeling confident about it, I think I completed the work without regrets” .
Meanwhile, “Alienoid 2” , starring Ryu Jun-yeol, will premiere on January 10th.
