To successfully find the Vault in Stormtouched Highlands, players must first identify the underground passage. The entrance is indicated on the map by a blue marker, though it remains concealed behind a cave obstructed by vines and boulders.
Starting from Fractured Plains and traversing through the Whispering Swamp, players should take the western path leading to Stormtouched Highlands. Once in the Highlands, head north until you spot a bridge with a cavern obstructed by Thorny Vines. Utilize an axe to clear the vines, then use a Pickaxe to remove any Stone Boulders that obstruct the entrance. Behind those boulders lies the Vault gate.
It’s important to note that players must reach adequate Mining and Woodcutting levels to clear these barriers. Once inside, placing a Lodestone at the Vault entrance provides convenient access for future visits.
Navigating the Stormtouched Highlands Vault in RuneScape: Dragonwilds
Vault Core #1
Upon entering the Vault, proceed through the eastern door, then take the western path to confront some Giant Rats. After defeating them, ascend the eastern stairs into the next room, where you will encounter a locked room, various traps, and a broken bridge.
To access the locked room, leap into the rotating firetrap, then dodge aside and employ the Windstep spell. Move towards the edge and leap through the small crevice in the wall. Inside, players can loot items from the chest and operate the lever to unlock additional gates.
Next, use the Windstep spell to cross over the fractured bridge, and reach the end to claim the first Vault Core.
Return to the area where the traps are located and bypass them, moving to the northern platform. There, you will find a glowing statue behind a damaged wall which rewards the recipe for Dragonkin Mage Robe Legs.
Subsequently, exit via the eastern door into the next chamber. Here, players must defeat the Vault Guardians and interact with another glowing statue to acquire the recipe for Dragonkin Mage Robes. To advance, head to the northern door. Choosing either left or right paths leads to chests, while the northern path reveals a lever that will partially open the boss door.
Vault Core #2
Proceed through the western door and follow these steps:
- Descend the western stairs.
- Advance westward.
- Evade the rotating firetrap.
- Turn and head eastward.
- Ascend further.
- Defeat the Vault Guardians.
- Retrieve the chest concealed behind a pillar.
- Continue down the same passage.
- Use a Pickaxe to break through the wall.
- Claim the second Vault Core along with the treasure behind the barrier.
Return to the prior chest location via the door beside it. Investigate the glowing statue in the hallway to obtain the Dragonkin Mage Hood recipe and navigate past the looming traps to unlock the second section of the boss door.
Be aware that players can take a shortcut from the room containing the Vault Core to the lever room, though caution is advised as the firetrap poses a significant hazard.
Vault Core #3
The final Vault Core awaits in the boss room. To obtain it, players must first defeat the Vault Overlord and the Vault Guardian found within this chamber. After overcoming these challenges, the Vault Core can be collected from the upper platform’s chest. Engaging with the glowing statue in this room also awards players with the Dragonbone Dagger recipe.
