The exciting news was officially communicated by the Pokemon TCGP account on X on March 21, 2025.

The recently launched trailer for Pokemon TCG Pocket Shining Revelry has provided an exclusive look at various cards included in this expansion. This article will delve into the highlights presented in the trailer.

Introducing Gen IX Pokémon and Shiny Cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket Shining Revelry

Shining Revelry marks the eighth booster pack in this digital card game, making a remarkable entry by showcasing Shiny Pokémon for the very first time. The pack’s cover art features an ensemble of fan-favorite Shiny Pokémon, including Shiny Charizard, Shiny Lucario, Shiny Beedrill, Shiny Pachurisu, Shiny Varoom, and Shiny Wugtrio.

The trailer also unveiled several shiny cards that players can look forward to:

  • Shiny Charizard ex with two unique attacks.
  • Shiny Lucario ex
  • Shiny Pachurisu
  • Shiny Varoom
  • Shiny Wiglett

This expansion will also feature Generation IX Pokémon from the popular games Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, debuting cards like Tatsugiri and Sprigatito. It’s reasonable to speculate that other notable Pokémon, such as Dondozo, Floragato, and Meowscarada, will also make their appearance in this set.

The trailer highlighted a Pinsir card alongside Trainer cards for Red and Iono. Red’s card is designed to inflict additional damage on an opponent’s active ex Pokémon, while Iono’s card allows players to shuffle their entire hand back into the deck and draw the same number of cards—effectively allowing for a strategic reset.

The incorporation of Generation IX hints at potential future features, such as the Terastallization mechanic, which could be introduced as part of ongoing updates. For now, the addition of Shiny Pokémon promises to maintain player engagement and excitement in the game.
