About the Manga Origin
This anime adapts the original manga series by author Chinjao Musume and illustrator Tama Nogami, which shares the same title. Since its debut on Kodansha’s YanMaga Web manga platform in February 2021, the ongoing series has been collected into 21 ebook volumes, with three of these available in print—though none have been published in English thus far.
At its heart, the manga follows college student Tsuyoshi, who revels in the taste of strong canned chuhai beverages during his leisure hours. His adventures are further enriched by his interactions with various married women, sparked by his chuhai-fueled explorations. The term “chuhai”itself is derived from the abbreviation for Shochu Highball, yet it has evolved to describe a popular drink combining shochu with carbonated water.
