“Isle of Joy”reintroduces a formidable antagonist as Mayor Fisk orders the transfer of Bullseye (Ben Poindexter) to the general population of the prison. While Bullseye is infamous for his lethal abilities, it’s noteworthy that he was previously an FBI agent, making his predicament in the prison’s general population even more precarious. The Fisks have their reasons for wanting him dead, and the prison’s environment makes it more feasible for them to achieve this.

Aware of his dire situation, Bullseye contacts Matt Murdock’s office, offering to provide insights into why he targeted Foggy. Initially, Matt suspects that Wilson Fisk orchestrated the threat, but Bullseye remains enigmatic, negotiating his safety in exchange for information. As Matt’s frustration escalates, he confronts Bullseye, leading to a moment of violence where he smashes the villain’s head against the table.
Feeling the weight of his past, Matt decides to visit an old bar for the first time since Foggy’s shooting. It’s here that he learns Foggy had been celebrating something significant, reinforcing his belief that someone silenced his friend. The narrative then shifts to the “Black and White Ball,”a prestigious event honoring Fisk and his wife, where influential characters gather. Matt is invited due to Heather’s recent triumph over Muse, yet he dreads facing Fisk.

While festivities unfold at the Black and White Ball, Bullseye is in the infirmary, nursing injuries from earlier encounters. However, his resilience means he’s not easily subdued; he violently escapes the infirmary by using his keen skills to eliminate both the guards and the doctor who attended to him.

As the Black and White Ball progresses, Fisk mingles with powerful figures including Jack Duquesne, the Swordsman, indicating that nefarious deals are in play. Although specific plot details remain murky, it’s evident that Fisk is leveraging his criminal connections to further manipulate influential attendees.
Matt ultimately arrives at the party, leading to tense exchanges with Heather, who remains skeptical of vigilantes and is unaware of the true extent of Fisk’s influence. Their conversation is interrupted by the Fisks, who take pleasure in knowing Matt’s distress, even whispering remarks loud enough for him to hear.

Impending Danger

In this pivotal moment, Matt uncovers the orchestrator behind the plot against Foggy. Initially believing it to be Wilson Fisk, he realizes that it was actually Vanessa who commissioned the attack. As the tension builds, he hears Bullseye preparing for a lethal strike targeted at Fisk. In a moment of selflessness, Matt intervenes, taking the bullet meant for Fisk, leaving him injured and sprawled on the ground as Heather rushes to his aid.
An Unlikely Alliance

In another development, the Police Commissioner is reminded that he is not in control of Fisk’s rogue cop task force. This leads to an insightful discussion with BB Uhrich, revealing that she suspects Wilson Fisk is involved in the death of her uncle. Both characters seem to agree on the need to unite against the Fisks, hinting at a potential alliance.
