According to the investigation authorities on the 21st, the anti-corruption and economic crime investigation team of the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency urgently arrested an executive-level police officer A from the Incheon Police Agency earlier in the day.
A is suspected of leaking a report containing the progress of the investigation into Lee Sun-kyun’s drug case to the outside. He is known to be working in another department that is not related to the drug crime investigation community.
Along with the arrest of A, the police also conducted a second raid on the Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, including the office of his department.
The police plan to transfer A to the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency to investigate the overall details of the investigation information and start analyzing the confiscated items.
The Incheon Metropolitan Police Agency, which was in charge of Lee Sun-kyun’s drug case, asked the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency to investigate how the investigation information was leaked in January, and the case was allocated to the anti-corruption and economic crime investigation team.

Later, his fellow artists released a statement calling for the investigation’s investigation into how the information was leaked, saying, “The demands of cultural artists facing the death of the late actor Lee Sun-kyun.”
