Pokemon TCG Twilight Masquerade expansion set: Release date, new cards, more

The new Pokemon TCG set may have been revealed, with Pokemon CTG Scarlet & Violet’s sixth set seemingly called Twilight Masquerade, and here’s everything we know so far.

It’s been about three days since the last Pokemon TCG release, so fans are well overdue for another cardboard infusion of Pocket Monster goodness, and it seems Creatures Inc. is ready to deliver.

Details are slowly coming out revealing the next English Pokemon TCG set, with Pokebeach reporting the upcoming release is called Twilight Masquerade, and that it will likely be based on the upcoming Japanese set known as Mask of Change.

While not much is known, early details on the Japanese counterpart release called Mask of Change suggest the set will focus on Ogerpon and several different masks for the Pokemon, as shown in the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: The Teal Mask.

With thanks to Pokebeach for the information, Pokemon fans can expect the Pokemon TCG: Twilight Masquerade set to release in the West on May 24, 2024.

There are no product images or details just yet, so it’s unclear how many different products are on the way. We expect Booster Packs, a Booster Bundle, a Booster Box, and an Elite Trainer Box at the very least.

New Pokemon TCG Scarlet & Violet: Twilight Masquerade cards

While there is no information yet on the cards included in the upcoming Pokemon TCG: Twilight Masquerade set, the Western release is expected to pull cards from the Japanese sets known as Mask of Change, and Crimson Haze.

The upcoming Pokemon TCG set called Temporal Forces seems to be mainly focused on the latest Paradox Pokemon, such as Iron Crown and Gouging Fire.

As such, Twilight Masquerade will likely include some of the Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet‘s DLC: The Secret of Area Zero, with plenty of Pokemon like Blood Moon Ursaluna, Hydrapple, Archaludon, and Sinistcha.

If the set is focused on Ogerpon, given the story of the Pokemon Scarlet & Violet DLC: The Teal Mask, it’s likely that the ‘Loyal Trio’ Pokemon that appear intertwined with the story of Ogerpon are set to appear.

This means Pokemon TCG: Twilight Masquerade may introduce the new Legendary Pokemon called Munkidori, Okidogi, and Fezandipiti to the game.

The next Pokemon TCG set to release in the West is Pokemon TCG: Temporal Forces, which is re-introducing Ace Spec cards. As such, we expect Twilight Masquerade to expand on this, and bring in new Ace Spec cards to the game.

As and when any new Ace Spec cards are revealed, we will detail them all here in this guide.

That’s all there is to know about Pokemon TCG: Twilight Masquerade for now TCG players, as details are still thin on the ground while we wait for an official reveal.
