Overview of Pokémon GO Fest 2025
- Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will take place in three major cities: Osaka, Jersey City, and Paris, each featuring exclusive Pokémon.
- This year’s festival will introduce new shiny Pokémon, legendary creatures, and a range of unique rewards for attendees.
Pokémon GO developer Niantic has unveiled detailed information regarding the forthcoming Pokémon GO Fest, an annual celebration where players can experience enhanced gameplay benefits. Participants will enjoy perks such as increased stardust, additional candies, and a variety of rare Pokémon that will only appear during the event. Initially launched in Chicago back in 2017, Pokémon GO Fest has expanded its reach globally, hosting simultaneous events in numerous locations worldwide.
It is noteworthy that Pokémon GO is currently in the process of being acquired by Scopely, along with its development studio Niantic. Scopely, based in California, is renowned for its successful titles, including Monopoly GO. The acquisition, totaling $3.5 billion, has raised concerns among the fan community regarding potential changes to Pokémon GO and other AR games offered by Niantic. Despite this, Scopely has assured players that enhancing user experience will remain a priority post-acquisition, offering reassurance to fans worried about future monetization strategies. As such, the Pokémon GO Fest is expected to continue as planned, ensuring that trainers can enjoy the annual celebrations without apprehension.
The in-person festivities for Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will kick off from May 29 in Osaka, Japan, followed by Jersey City, USA on June 6, and concluding in Paris, France on June 13. A global event will also occur over the weekend of June 28-29. Each location will feature its own array of exclusive Pokémon, catering to the unique local flavor of the event. Notable Pokémon sightings in Osaka include favorites like Chansey and Snorlax, while Jersey City will showcase Meowth and Beldum. Paris promises appearances from Pokémon such as Sableye and Rhyhorn. Additionally, trainers should look out for Torkoal, Pachirisu, and Klefki, which can be encountered globally using incense during the event.
