The face of Pokemon may be experiencing a fall from grace as Pikachu faces “racist” accusations from fans
We all love Pokemon, the games we pour countless hours into at home or on the go, the trading card game fans collect en masse, and the anime we grew up with.
The face of Pocket Monsters, Pikachu, is a household name that brings happiness to the world, or so we thought after the adorable electric-type faces awful accusations.
What happens when Pokemon go bad? Do they join Team Rocket? Kick up a natural disaster that requires calling in the Pokemon Rangers to help? That is possibly true, but Pokemon Champion Ash Ketchum will need to answer for his Pikachu actions after a fan reveals a history of “racism.”
Pikachu faces “racist” accusations from fans
X/Twitter user and possibly ex-Pikachu enthusiast “@MelohTweets” has posted a thread with photo evidence documenting a history of imitating other Pokemon’s likeness.

While some may call these imitations cute, others call Pikachu’s imitations of other Pokemon “racist” as this electric menace is put on blast bigger than a Wailord. There’s even photo evidence of Pikachu being a copycat directly to other Pokemon; it’s unknown if these innocent Pokemon were paid off for facing such abuse. Team Rocket could not be reached for comment concerning their Wobbuffet, who has faced the most evidenced mockery from Pikachu.

Pikachu has seemingly got away with these “innocent imitations” until a damning imitation of Ivysaur, posted by @raysinette_, was the straw that broke the Camerupt’s back and brought these accusations to light as the poor grass and poison type just looked on in shock.

The incident in question has drawn a lot of negative attention to the beloved Pokemon icon. Pikachu’s aggressive approach, the imitation, and then laughing in Ivysaur’s face and running away have sparked much debate on Pikachu’s track record and opinion with other non-electric types.
Whether in private or public, Pikachu consistently pulls off these imitations, even with another fellow Pikachu. World Champion Ash Ketchum has yet to comment on his Pikachu’s action. Still, as he’s pictured multiple times as a bystander, we can only speculate how tolerable he is of his Pokemon’s behavior.
