Patrick Schwarzenegger, the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Abby Champion, a prominent supermodel, recently got engaged in December 2023 after an eight-year relationship. Although the couple has yet to exchange vows, they are planning to do so in the summer of 2025. During a guest appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on March 25, 2025, Schwarzenegger discussed the circumstances surrounding their prolonged engagement.
“Finally a year and a half ago, we got engaged, and it was our moment. It was this great thing, and about a few days later, I booked White Lotus.”
After securing the role of Saxon Ratcliff in the third season of The White Lotus, Schwarzenegger revealed that he and Champion had to shift their wedding plans. He explained to Drew Barrymore how he broke the news to Abby about the filming commitments.
“I was like, ‘Abby, I know we’re in this high of engagement, and we’re gonna get married this year, but we’re gonna have to push it. I got White Lotus and I’m gonna go film for the next seven months in Thailand,'” he said.
Despite the delay, Schwarzenegger noted that Champion took the news well. She remained “so happy”and “ecstatic,”given her admiration for The White Lotus. After a year of postponement, the couple has finally set their sights on a summer nuptial.

As they draw closer to their wedding date, Patrick Schwarzenegger and Abby Champion have started to prepare for their summer ceremony. During his March 25 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, he reiterated this announcement, echoing details shared in his March 20 interview with WWD. Additionally, the couple recently participated in a campaign for Skims’ 2025 Wedding Shop.
In the campaign, beyond the traditional wedding attire, the pair showcased a variety of intimate wear, corsets, and sleep garments through a photoshoot led by renowned photographer Carin Backoff. There was a standout moment in which Schwarzenegger posed with Champion, adorned with nothing but a bouquet of white flowers.
Reflecting on their experience during an interview with Rolling Stone published on March 17, he expressed his enthusiasm for working alongside Champion in such a special campaign.
“Being part of Skims’ Wedding Shop with my fiancée Abby was such a fun experience and made me more excited for our big day,”he noted.
Having been together since 2015, they will celebrate a decade of love by the time they exchange vows this summer. The couple got engaged with a picturesque beach proposal on Christmas Day 2023, featuring an elaborate heart-shaped flower arrangement made of red roses and petals, complemented by cozy winter attire and a festive engagement cake adorned with a loving image of them together.
