Understanding Stormcharged in Path of Exile 2
As a notable passive, Stormcharged can be acquired by investing a skill point in the passive skill tree or by anointing it on an Amulet. It grants:

- 20% increased Critical Hit Chance
The mechanics of Stormcharged are straightforward. When you achieve a Critical Hit against an enemy, you receive a 40% boost to your Elemental Damage for the subsequent four seconds. Here, “Recently”refers to a time frame of the last four seconds. Notably, this enhancement applies to all types of elemental damage, which means it extends its benefits beyond just those attacks that result in Critical Hits. Hence, if you have reliable methods to land Critical Hits, your non-Critical elemental damage can still take advantage of this passive.
For instance, the Stormweaver Spark build often incorporates the Controlled Destruction Support, which prevents attacks from striking critically. Consequently, while Spark itself won’t trigger Stormcharged, a different ability like Orb of Storms can easily secure Critical Hits due to its multi-hit functionality. Utilizing Orb of Storms to trigger Stormcharged allows for the applied 40% increased Elemental Damage to subsequently enhance Spark’s damage output significantly.
How to Anoint Stormcharged
To anoint Stormcharged onto an Amulet, you will need to use Distilled Emotions in the specified sequence:
- Distilled Fear
- Distilled Fear
- Distilled Envy
You can obtain Distilled Emotions as drops from Delirium enemies encountered in endgame Delirium maps. Additionally, players may purchase these items through the Currency Exchange by speaking with Alva at the Hideout. It’s worth noting that monsters in maps accessed using instilled Waystones will not drop Distilled Emotions.
Once you have gathered the necessary Distilled Emotions, ensure they are in your inventory alongside the Amulet you intend to anoint. Right-click on any Distilled Emotion to initiate the Instilling window. Position the Amulet in the top slot and arrange the Distilled Emotions in the order presented above.
