Papa Roach Celebrates 25 Years of “Infest”with North American Tour
Papa Roach is on the road to commemorate the 25th anniversary of their groundbreaking album, Infest, with a vibrant North American tour that touched down in Los Angeles over the weekend. This tour, aptly named the Rise of the Roach, featured a stellar performance at the Kia Forum on Friday, supported by prominent punk bands Rise Against and Underoath.
Highlights from the Concert
The setlist derived inspiration from Infest, which debuted on April 25, 2000. Fans were treated to classic tracks like “Broken Home” and the iconic “Last Resort,” which served as the encore number, closing the show on a high note. Additionally, the band performed other notable singles such as “Scars,” “…To Be Loved,” and their recent track “Even If It Kills Me.”
Leading the energetic crowd, frontman Jacoby Shaddix challenged the notion that Los Angeles audiences are jaded. “Some people say that everybody in L.A. is jaded,” he expressed passionately. “I don’t fucking believe it. I see you got soul in this motherfucker. You got heart in this motherfucker. You got passion in this motherfucker.”
From Vacaville to World Tours
As part of a heartfelt narrative, Shaddix shared insights into the band’s origins, reminiscing about their roots in Vacaville, California. “We came out the fucking bushes, you know what I’m saying? In 1993, we said, ‘We want to start a fucking band.’ Now we’re traveling the fucking world, living the dream. Thank you, guys, for living in our dream tonight,” he said before diving into a cover of Tupac’s “California Love.”

The band’s rendition of “Forever” notably incorporated a segment from Linkin Park’s “In the End.” Shaddix reflected on his friendship with the late Chester Bennington, recalling how they bonded during Ozzfest 2001, both being eager first-time fathers the following year.
“It’s a celebration of life right here tonight,” he continued, in a spirit of unity and good vibes. “We’re gonna fuckin’ get down with some good vibes in this motherfucker.”
A Grateful Celebration
As the concert neared its conclusion, Shaddix expressed profound gratitude for the audience’s support. “It’s been 25 years pouring my heart into this music,” he acknowledged, “and you guys are making me feel like I am not alone, so I am grateful for every last one of y’all here tonight. We all stand here, individually and collectively, as people who are willing to stand up and fight the good fight.”
Rise Against Takes the Stage
Before Papa Roach, Rise Against energized the crowd with fan-favorite anthems “Give It All,” “Ready to Fall,” and “Savior.” Frontman Tim McIlrath used the platform to voice his progressive views, showing solidarity with the people of Ukraine and paying tribute to those affected by L.A.’s recent wildfires and other climate-related disasters. “We all come from somewhere,” he remarked while introducing “Prayer of the Refugee.” He emphasized, “Not a single one of us is illegal.”
