Overwatch 2 Season 9 is live, bringing in a wide variety of changes to the game, including D.Va. With the recent tweaks, some players are convinced her ultimate is busted.
Overwatch 2 Season 9 has no doubt been launched with one of the most drastic changes the game has ever seen since its initial release.
New role passives and projectile changes are arguably the ones that impact the gameplay the most, resulting in some players claiming that Tank feels the most “miserable” to play at the moment.
However, in a surprising turn of events, some players think that one particular Tank is busted rather than unplayable. That Tank is none other than D.Va, who has received an increase in her Pilot health, Mech armor, explosion maximum damage, and inner explosion radius.

A player has uploaded a clip of D.Va’s self-destruct ultimate in an X post, showcasing her ultimate’s current radius and damage. Despite this being done in practice range against bots, other players have jumped in the replies, sharing their thoughts.
“That hitbox is crazy wtf,” one person wrote. Meanwhile, some players in the comments claimed they were instantly killed by a D.Va bomb. Even though they were hiding in a building or behind a wall.
According to some players in different posts, the game’s current hitboxes seem quite broken. With arms apparently taking more damage priority than headshots. Hence, something like this can happen.
Others were shocked at this discovery, with one person going as far as saying, “More proof the devs have no idea what they’re doing amirite?”
Aside from that, another player is convinced that devs are slowly giving her a buff, claiming “her power creep is strong af.”
Following this issue, they suggested, “Her jets need to be on a longer CD. She has a matrix, a crap ton of armor, and two lives, lol. She doesn’t need a ‘quick escape’ too.”
