One Hundred Label’s Ongoing Dispute with Korean Broadcasters
One Hundred Label, the agency behind THE BOYZ, along with its subsidiaries BPM Entertainment and INB100, is currently embroiled in a conflict with major Korean broadcasters SBS and KBS. On March 9, 2025, Star News reported that the label is seeking clarification from KBS regarding a reported ban on EXO’s Xiumin from participating in the live broadcast of Music Bank, which airs every Friday on KBS2.
This tension follows a series of grievances with SBS. Since November 2024, One Hundred Label has been boycotting Inkigayo after EXO’s Baekhyun was omitted from the show’s “Next Week”segment in September 2024.
Despite attempts to resolve the issue through communication with SBS, discussions have stalled, forcing One Hundred Label to withdraw its artists from the program. Consequently, fans observed the absence of BPM’s VIVIZ from Inkigayo since November 2024, marking the beginning of this ongoing standoff.
The situation has escalated further, affecting a broader range of artists under One Hundred Label, including BPM and INB100, with notable group EXO-CBX and others. EXO’s Xiumin confirmed that he will not perform on Inkigayo, even with the release of his solo album on March 10, 2025. In light of THE BOYZ’s upcoming third full album, Unexpected, set for release on March 17, 2025, they also plan to forgo participation in the weekly South Korean music program.
Notably, THE BOYZ’s much-anticipated album, Unexpected, will officially release on March 17, 2025, at 6 PM KST.
On February 2, 2025, the 11-member boy band captivated fans during their entire fan concert, THE BRAND, at Seoul’s KSPO Dome, where they shockingly announced their impending March comeback. This comeback marks their first return to the stage since transitioning from IST Entertainment to ONE HUNDRED at the end of 2024.
