Oscar from Love is Blind: Sweden Reveals “Cold” Attitude Towards Alicia: “That’s How I Am”

The second season of Love is Blind: Sweden recently premiered three new episodes (5, 6, and 7) on March 20, 2025. Among these, Episode 6, aptly titled “Her Goal Is To Destroy Us,”unveiled a candid moment where Oscar revealed how he often becomes “cold”when Alicia seeks comfort during their relational struggles. During a conversation with co-star Wictor, Oscar shared his feelings:

“When things aren’t great between us, she often comes up to me then, but I’m a bit more like, ‘Don’t touch me.’ Like a bit… Yeah, a bit cold, that’s it. I don’t think she likes that. But that’s how I am.”

Oscar acknowledged the stark differences in their personalities, describing himself as “calm”compared to Alicia’s “full of energy.”He reflected on the difficulties he faces in expressing his needs and dislikes, a theme that permeated their conversations throughout the episode.

In a pivotal moment, Alicia confided in Jakob, expressing her intense need for closeness during tough times. She contrasted this with Oscar’s instinctual reaction to draw away, indicating a fundamental disparity in how they approach emotional challenges. Alicia noted the lack of a resolution to their dilemma, as Oscar thrived in his “alone time”and preferred quietude.

Alicia’s Struggles with Understanding Oscar

Earlier in the episode, Alicia suggested they create a joint calendar to coordinate their schedules seamlessly. Oscar was taken aback by the idea and remarked on his tendency to be “a bit more spontaneous”while expressing his need to ponder the suggestion before committing.

As Alicia outlined their weekend plans for lunch and family gatherings, Oscar responded with:

“So, sometimes I would appreciate it if only you went.”

Oscar conveyed his desire for solo evenings at home, relishing moments spent cooking or watching movies. Despite Alicia’s yearning for physical closeness and affection, she silently absorbed his comments.

During a dinner conversation, the couple delved deeper into their emotional dynamics. Alicia opened up about her struggle to decipher Oscar’s feelings. She articulated her confusion, stating:

“I really can’t tell how you feel because I can’t hear anything in your tone of voice or see it in your facial expressions or even in your energy.”

Her frustration grew as she found it hard to elicit even a smile from him, prompting doubts about whether Oscar consciously disregarded her emotional needs. She conveyed her feelings of irritation and uncertainty, claiming that Oscar’s behavior made her feel undervalued.

In response, Oscar defended himself, stating that his facial expressions occur naturally and he could better express himself verbally:

“If I just say things that I’m thinking, then you don’t need to read my face because I’ll say what I’m feeling and explain.”

Despite acknowledging the difficulty in articulating his feelings, Oscar committed to making an effort to communicate more effectively. Alicia expressed her relief at their ability to discuss these issues and expressed willingness to engage with him through questions, hoping for more transparent communication.

The tension mounted in Episode 7 when Tim, Alicia’s former partner from the pods, made a reappearance, further complicating her dynamic with Oscar. This led Alicia to reevaluate her feelings and ultimately prompted her to pack her things and leave the apartment.
