Alongside the premiere date, the series revealed additional details, including the total episode count, individual episode duration, the talented voice cast, a key visual, and the main production team.
The Oide yo Maho Shojo Mura series will consist of short episodes that run approximately one minute each. This format is particularly well-suited for adapting Gingham’s four-panel manga, as the source material naturally aligns with the brief storytelling style required for such animated shorts.
Star-Studded Cast for Oide yo Maho Shojo Mura
Set to air on TV Kansai, the anime series will debut with a total of 13 episodes, each crafted for brevity at just one minute long. As of now, details regarding additional viewing platforms for the series remain undisclosed. The opening theme, titled “Bakemono Tsudo Mura” (translated as “The Village Where Monsters Gather”), will be performed by Riko Kohara.
Although the manga has not yet reached widespread recognition, it possesses significant appeal through its impressive voice cast. Leading the series is Manaka Iwami, who portrays the main character, Tomakomai. The cast also includes Shiori Izawa as Nemuro, Sumire Uesaka as Seikou, Riko Kohara as Kushiro, and Tomokazu Sugita as Kanagawa. Izawa is best known for her role as Pochita in Chainsaw Man, while Uesaka and Kohara have made their mark in The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You and BanG Dream!, respectively. Given the key visual’s indication of additional characters, viewers can likely expect more cast announcements as the premiere date approaches.

The manga’s creator, Gingham, is co-scripting alongside Takeshi Onaka, who additionally serves as the animation director. Sound production is managed by Tatooine Sound and Ryo Hizumi, while Yu Saito takes on the role of sound director. Animation for the series is being produced by Kachidoki Studio, with collaboration from Yoyogi Animation Academy.
This delightful adaptation is based on Gingham’s original gag manga, following the life of Tomakomai, a 43-year-old corporate worker who unexpectedly transforms into a magical girl. Together with her magical girl companions, she embarks on a chaotic journey in the so-called “Magical Girl Village,” characterized by its whimsical yet surreal nature. The manga currently boasts 11 compilation volumes available in digital format.
